Abstract  The Community-Campus Partnerships for Health created this toolkit to assist academics who are committed to community-based research and CBPR in developing their portfolios for tenure and promotion. The toolkit outlines the basic characteristics that should be included in the portfolio of a researcher actively engaged in CBPR. The purpose of this toolkit is to promote a better understanding among academic institutions in recognizing the scientific value and work of health researchers who conduct CBPR projects.
